《步步惊心》、《甄嬛传》改编成电视剧后无可避免遭到书迷各种喷口水，正在象山热拍的、改编自唐七公子的同名小说《华胥引》也不例外遭遇挑刺。昨日导演李达超携主演郑嘉颖、袁弘、蒋欣接受媒体微信采访，并回应了造型、角色等争议问题。其中，打败了“四爷”吴奇隆以及钟汉良、胡歌等人，出演男一号苏誉（慕言）的是因为《步步惊心》“八爷”一角在内地一炮而红的郑嘉颖。尽管此前温润如玉的八爷深得大家喜爱，不过郑嘉颖演年轻小伙苏誉，造型和年龄等还是引来部分书迷的吐槽。
TV series which are adapted from novels cannot escape comments and criticisms from fans and Hua Xu Ying which is being filmed in Xiang Shan does not escape this fate either. Yesterday Director Li, Kevin Cheng, Yuan Hong and Jiang Xing accepted interview from the media answering questions regarding styling, the role etc. In there is Kevin Cheng who plays the male lead, beating Nicky Wu, Wallace Chung, Hu Ge etc. Although Kevin is well loved by many, him taking on a much younger role still attracted much criticism.
一、八爷为何赢了四爷？为何不接拍《步步惊心2》？
1) 8th Prince wins 4th Prince? Why didn't he accept Scarlet Heart 2?
原小说中的男主角苏誉，肩负天下重任的乱世皇子，一袭蓝衫走天下，琴棋书画无一不精，工于心计又潇洒不羁，对女主角叶蓁既霸道又体贴痴情。据悉开拍之前，郑嘉颖、吴奇隆、钟汉良以及胡歌都是该角的人选，而最终郑嘉颖击败包括“四爷”吴奇隆在内的对手获得此角。“八爷”又是依靠什么PK掉“四爷”的呢？另外，“八爷”郑嘉颖为何不接拍《步步惊心2》呢？
In the novel, Su Yu, a prince that shoulders huge responsibility in troubled times. He sees the world in his famous blue robe, well versed in poetry and painting, unrestrained and uninhibited thoughtfulness towards female lead Ye Zhen. It is understood that before shooting started, Nicky Wu, Kevin Cheng, Wallace Chung and Hu Ge was nominees for this role but Kevin got it in the end. How did 8th Prince beat 4th Prince to win this role? Also, why is Kevin not part of Scarlet Heart 2?
●导演李达超：为什么吴奇隆会中枪呢？虽然我跟吴奇隆是非常好的朋友，但我觉得这个角色非常适合郑嘉颖，因为郑嘉颖的气质等都非常具备演慕言的底蕴。他的王者气派和情深款款非常打动我。郑嘉颖现价很高，他一定不便宜吧？但是我觉得他值得拿这个钱的。
Director Li: Why is Nicky Wu a victim? Although I am close friends with Nicky but I think Kevin is very well suited for this role because his demeanor is very similar to that of Su Yu. Kevin's current price per episode is very high so he's definitely not cheap. But I think he's definitely worth the money.
●郑嘉颖：当初李国立导演找过我演《步步惊心2》，但那时他说剧本还没弄好，于是我跟他说先接别的戏。后来他跟我说《步步惊心2》3月就开拍，那时我已经接了《华胥引》了。我就跟他说，如果《步步惊心2》有什么合适我的好玩的角色，我也会去客串一下的。老实说我对《华胥引》真的很大期待的，因为我没拍过这个类型的古装戏，希望做一些和以前不一样的东西出来，希望有新鲜感给观众看，但要突破就需要蛮大的努力。
Kevin: Director Li Guoli did approach me to star in Scarlet Heart 2 but he told me then that the script was not ready so I told him I will be accepting other projects while waiting. After that he told me that they have decided to start shooting Scarlet Heart 2 in March but by then I have already accepted Hua Xu Ying. I told him if there are any fun role which will suit me, I will be most willing to make a guest appearance. To be honest, I have high hopes for Hua Xu Ying because I have not done anything of similar before. I hope to continue to attempt new roles and hope to bring something new every time to the screen. But to achieve such breakthrough requires effort.
二、苏誉很年轻八爷太老了？
2) Su Yu is very young. Is 8th Prince too old?
《华胥引》书迷对于郑嘉颖出演苏誉，最大质疑的地方就是：四十出头的郑嘉颖演八爷很合适，可是演20多岁的苏誉是否太老了？此外，苏誉有心机又痴情，也让不少网友觉得八爷和苏誉颇为相似。
Fans of the novel's biggest criticism is that Kevin is way too old to be portraying Su Yu who is only in his early 20's. Apart from being crafty, Su Yu is also lovestruck so netizens see the similarities between 8th Prince and Su Yu.
●导演李达超：在我们这个九州世界里面呢，每个人都三四百岁的。如果说郑嘉颖老的话，在一个三四百岁的世界里面，他只不过是一个年轻小伙子。
Director Li: In our world, everyone is 300 years old. If you think Kevin is old then he is only a kid in a world where everyone else is 300 years old.
●郑嘉颖：我就知道你们会问这个。我接这个戏的时候我是先看剧本的，我觉得剧本吸引我。剧本是改编的，没有提过年纪的问题，我只是看戏吸不吸引我。老实说，这个戏如果是我二十多岁的时候，我也肯定演不了，我觉得我现在是刚好演这个角色的时候。我接演的时候还没看小说，我也了解每个看小说的人都会有他们的想象，很难和每个人的想象都一样的。我在拍《步步惊心》的时候也遇到这个问题，我希望大家看了成品以后再下结论。其实看过小说的都会了解，八爷和慕言是完全不一样的角色，除了都是在皇帝之家以外，我觉得两个很不相似的角色是不能比较的。
Kevin: I knew you will ask this question. When I accepted the job, I read the script first and I was attracted to the script. The script is adapted from the novel and age was not mentioned anywhere. The only thing that matters to me is the script. To be honest, if I was offered this job when I was in my 20's, I will definitely not take the offer but I think I am able to do the role justice now. When I accepted the job, I have not read the novel but I understand that people tend to form their own imaginative character while reading so it is difficult to match the person everyone imagines. When I accepted Scarlet Heart, I had the same issue. I hope the audience will conclude after seeing the final product. Those who have read both novels (Hua Xu Ying and Scarlet Heart) will know that they are totally different characters. Apart from the fact that both are from royal family, I think there are no similarities between the two.
三、男主角造型有点怪？对原著改动太大？
3) The styling of male lead is weird. A big change from the original?
《华胥引》幕后班底不俗，导演李达超是《少年黄飞鸿》、《伤城》、《无间道2》等多部电影的武术指导；2008北京奥运会开幕式的首席造型设计、《甄嬛传》的服装造型师陈敏担任该剧人物造型设计。不过郑嘉颖的苏誉造型照曝光之后，很多书迷大呼毁掉了他们心目中的苏誉形象。此外，书迷也很担心剧集对原小说的改动是否会太大。
Hua Xu Ying has a strong crew behind the scene. But after the official pictures of Kevin's character were released, avid readers claimed that their image of Su Yu have been destroyed. They are also worried if the adaptation will be a far cry from the original novel.
●导演李达超：小说迷们说毁了他们的《华胥引》，我看一千个人有一千个哈姆雷特，我怎么也要毁掉几个人的《华胥引》，但是大众心目中的《华胥引》是一定存在的。对于造型的问题，第一我们有一个大师（陈敏）在主导，而且这些服装的质感都是很好的。至于对原著的改编，我并没有删掉故事，只是有某几个故事我特别喜欢，所以我留下来用而已，并没有删掉故事。
Director Li: Readers claimed that we have destroyed their image of Hua Xu Ying. I think in a 1000 people, there will be a 1000 version of Hua Xu Ying. How can I possibly destroy them all? But Hua Xu Ying will be there in their hearts. As to the styling, first of all, we have a very famous stylist managing this and the texture of the garments used are really good. As to adapting from the original version, I have not deleted any part of the story but I have kept my favourite.
●郑嘉颖：我觉得我没有拍过这个类型的角色，这一次我们的造型花了很多天时间，我从来没有试过这样子的，特别是留刘海。最初我自己看着有点不习惯，但是慢慢看着看着就越来越顺眼了。
Kevin: I think I have not shot anything similar to this character. This time I have spent a lot of time on the styling. I have never tried anything like this especially the bangs. When I first saw myself I wasn't used to it either but after a while it will grow on you.
