Mingpao Daily 27 October 2012: Kevin discharged after 10 stitches

【明報專訊】鄭嘉穎前日在昆山拍攝電視劇《葉問》一場打擂台戲時，不慎被對手打爆右眼角，由於傷勢不輕，他立即於晚上趕返港入醫院做手術，縫了10針。嘉穎留院一晚後，昨午出院返家休息。原本他昨日要到瀋陽出席品牌活動，無奈取消。

Earlier this week when filming Ip Man in Kunshan, Kevin was injured while shooting a fight scene - his opponent accidentally split the corner of his right eye. Because the injury is not light, he was rushed back to Hong Kong on a night flight and was warded into the hospital for surgery which required 10 stitches. He was discharged after a night's stay. He actually had an event in Shenyang to attend the next day but had to be helplessly cancelled.

昨日《葉問》劇組在微博上載他受傷接受治療的照片，見他右眼下眼皮腫起，衫上沾血，躺在擂台上一臉痛楚。

When Ip Man's crew posted pictures of him being treated for his injury on Weibo, it can be clearly seen the extend of his injuries - right eye bottom lid was clearly swollen, blood soaked shirt lying on the fighting ring. His expression was full of pain.

嘉穎前晚11時許返抵香港，右眼貼紗布，他接受訪問輕鬆說不太嚴重，相信縫兩針便可以，而且男人有疤痕更型。結果他在醫院接受手術縫了10針，留院一晚。他於昨日凌晨2時40分在微博向粉絲報平安﹕「已回港診治，安好，不用擔心。但真的很抱歉，明天不能到瀋陽跟大家見面了！請大家放心，一定會盡快安排到瀋陽跟你們再聚。」

Reporting safety on Weibo at wee hours

Kevin arrived in Hong Kong on 25th october 2012 11:00pm. His right eye was gauzed. When he was interviewed, he brushed his injury off claiming it is not at all that serious and believe 2 stitches will do. He also joked saying it is more manly to have scars. In the end he had to undergo surgery and had 10 stitches to the wound, had to be warded for a night. At about 2.40am he posted on Weibo reporting that he's back in Hong Kong and have been treated, asking everybody not to worry.

回家休養一星期

無製作資源部總監樂易玲陪同嘉穎入院，昨日樂易玲表示嘉穎預計留港一星期休養，待傷口消腫及拆線後，才決定復工日期。

Back home recuperating for a week

Virginia Lok accompanied Kevin at the hospital. She says Kevin is expected to stay and recuperate in Hong Kong for a week. They can only confirm when he can go back to work after the swelling reduces and stitches removed. 

昨日《葉問》劇組在微博放上嘉穎受傷時的照片及影片，見嘉穎跟一名大隻黑人對打，之後他受傷躺在擂台上，白色戲服沾血，他右眼下眼皮位置腫起，工作人員幫他治理，見他一臉痛楚，之後離開返港醫治。

Yesterday Ip Man crew published pictures and video of when Kevin sustained the injury. Kevin was seen to have exchanged blows with a big black man and thereafter lying injured on the ring with visible blood stains on his white shirt. His right eye, lower lid was visibly swollen. Crew members rushed to help but he was obviously in a lot of pain before finally leaving for Hong Kong to seek treatment.
