一班無綫花旦小生為視帝視后爭崩頭，鄭嘉穎卻隔岸觀火，搵錢行先。有獎無獎等閒事，錢銀最實際，鄭嘉穎已是 TVB第一吸金王；近日他再以新高價 50萬一集，接拍內地劇《葉問 II》，並以 1200萬高價接了一個內地廣告，賺到笑！搵得到，嘉穎不似過去將積蓄投資股票市場，改為儲磚頭，早前豪擲二千多萬，買入柏景灣兩個單位，分別送給媽咪及細妹，相當顧家。
As the rest of TVB's actors and actresses are vying for the coveted crown next month, Kevin Cheng prefers to remain by the sideline focusing on making more money. Winning any awards or not is not as important as bringing in the dough, and today, Kevin is TVB's highest earning artiste. It is reported that his pay has risen up to as high as RMB500,000 per episode to star in Ip Man 2, the sequel to the TV series Ip Man which wrapped up recently. He is also reported to be paid RMB12 million to appear in a Mainland advertisement! Kevin no longer puts his money in the stock market like before but change his focus to properties instead. He paid more than RMB20 million on 2 units in Park Avenue, Hong Kong earlier as gift to his mother and sister. Very filial indeed.
The property was purchased through Great Bright Consultants Limited, which is solely owned by Kevin's mother.
入行二十二年，鄭嘉穎經歷多次事業高低潮，但真正爆紅，是去年接拍了內地劇《步步驚心》，一劇打通內地市場，加上擸埋無綫雙料視帝，事業爬上高峰，一年密接六個內地劇，賺超過半億，變成賺錢金蛋，成為 TVB藝人的奇跡。
Since joining the industry 22 years ago, Kevin has gone through career ups and down but he really rose to stardom after accepting a role in Mainland's Scarlet Heart which shot him to superstardom in Mainland China. That plus twice being crowned TVB's King, his career began to finally see light starring in 6 Mainland TV series in a year, earning more than half a billion becoming the highest earner ever in TVB.
最近嘉穎更以破頂價，每集五十萬接拍內地劇《葉問 II》，三十集袋走一千五百萬。「《葉問》啱啱先拍完，套劇都仲未播，但投資方已經一早傾定嘉穎再合作拍《葉問 II》，為咗搶到佢嘅檔期，對方仲開到五十萬一集俾佢，比上次拍《葉問》時三十五萬一集，加幅近五成，個價咁高，同喺 TVB拍劇一萬一集，根本無得比。」嘉穎身邊人說。
Recently, Kevin has broke even his own record by accepting to take on Ip Man 2 at RMB500,000 per episode taking home RMB15 million for 30 episodes. "Ip Man has only just wrap up and not even aired but in order to block Kevin's schedule for Ip Man 2, the investors offered him RMB500,000 per episode to get him onboard. This is RMB350,000 per episode higher than what he was paid before. Compare to the RMB10,000 per episode in TVB, this is way beyond the league." says someone close to Kevin.
印銀紙一樣，但嘉穎為拍《葉問》搞到周身傷，早前還被武指打爆眼，要立即返港入院縫針，付出代價也不少。
It really does seem like Kevin is a money printing machine but while shooting Ip Man, Kevin suffered quite a bit too. He was in fact admitted into the hospital and had 10 stitches at the corner of his eye.
「嘉穎無武功底，但佢知道套劇有好多武打場面，一早已經好落力操 fit啲，一得閒就打網球、游水練氣，不過集集打，都好吃力！嚟緊《葉問 II》要再拍多三個月，賺嘅都係辛苦錢。」
"Kevin does not have any martial art basics but he knows that there are a lot of fight scenes. He put in a lot of effort to ensure that he is fit enough to take on this character. Whenever he can he will play tennis or swim to train his stamina. The upcoming Ip Man 2 will be another 3 month project. Not easy money."
「之前拍《葉問》啲檔期就唔到，推咗好多 job，所以要趁空檔還債，所以呢排佢都係上海北京咁飛，連十九號無綫台慶，都係特登飛返嚟一日，完全無得休息！」
"Previously while shooting Ip Man, because of his tight schedule he had to reject a lot of job offers so while he is taking a break from shooting, he is trying to fit as many jobs as possible flying between Beijing and Shanghai. He even flew back to Hong Kong on 19th November for a day just to attend TVB's birthday bash, absolutely no rest!"
居安思危，鄭嘉穎一直有計劃將辛苦錢換成磚頭，孝順的他家人優先，今年八月，以一千零八十萬，購入柏景灣千呎單位，據土地註冊處資料顯示，上述單位以鄭母個人名義的凱輝公司持有。
Kevin has always said that he is working very hard, hoping to earn enough to start investing in properties with taking care of his family as priority. In August this year, he bought a one thousand square feet unit in Park Avenue at RMB10.8million. According to Land Registry information, the unit is owned by Great Bright Consultants Limited which is solely owned by Kevin's mother.
「呢個係嘉穎十幾年來嘅心願，依家搵到錢，佢第一時間叫阿媽睇樓，揀啱心水就買，嘉穎媽咪一直住喺大角咀區，識落唔少街坊，所以揀番附近嘅柏景灣，方便約啲舊街坊飲茶，另外嘉穎仲買多一層送俾細妹！」
"This is Kevin's wish for the longest time. Now that he can afford it, the first thing he did was to bring his mother for viewing. His mother has always been living in the Bei Kok Tsui area and so Park Avenue was her natural choice so that she can still be close to her friends. On top of that, Kevin also bought a 2nd unit for his sister!"
除了做孝順仔，嘉穎還有另一個多年心願，亦快將達到，明年他將會成立自己的製作公司。
Apart from being a filial son, Kevin also has another wish which will come true next year - to open his own production company.
「幾年前佢已經成日話要開自己嘅製作公司，但嗰時佢根本無本錢，嘉穎好明白做幕前做唔到一世，所以會好好把握嚟緊呢幾年黃金時間，儲多啲錢，鋪好後路。」知情者說。
"He has been wanting to have his own production company since a couple of years ago but he wasn't able to afford one then. He knows very well he can never stay in the frontline forever so he will make sure that he takes full advantage of the golden era and earn as much as possible to prepare for the future." says an insider.
