22日抵达哈尔滨当晚，香港艺人郑嘉颖就慕名来到我市某主打农家特色的饭馆大快朵颐，微博中的“东北菜，太实惠”六个字概括了他对东北菜的好感。此次借参加某品牌活动的机会，郑嘉颖首次“邂逅”哈尔滨。
Upon arriving in Harbin on 22nd November, Hong Kong star Kevin Cheng had his first meal in one of the city's flagship restaurant with farm characteristics. As TVB's veteran artiste with many well-known TV drama under his belt, Kevin is much-loved by the famous TV station, winning 5 Best Male Actor awards and Asian Best Male Actor award. In 2011, Kevin participated in Mainland China's production Scarlet Heart playing the 8th Prince of the Qing dynasty winning the hearts of female fans in China. This drama shot Kevin to stardom overnight in Mainland China, becoming one of the most successful Hong Kong artiste seeking opportunities in the North.

In the recent Ip Man series, it was rumoured that Kevin's per episode pay is as high as RMB400,000. But Kevin has also suffered a lot while shooting this TV series as well, the most recent being 10 stitches on his right eye. His injury is not obvious. With a little make-up, it cannot be seen at all. Kevin says "It is unavoidable to get hurt/injured while shooting action scenes. I feel blessed and lucky that it is not severe."
谈及“北上”心得，郑嘉颖轻描淡写地说：“在香港拍戏会住在家里，在内地拍戏会住在饭店，没有太大分别。”随后他又补充说：“TVB拍那么多年，对手都差不多，内地的优秀演员非常多，合作起来更有新鲜感。”虽然古装戏手到追捧，但郑嘉颖并不希望自己局限在某一特定领域，“我会看剧本和类型，尽量避免重复性的角色和故事。”不过郑嘉颖也给了“步迷”们一颗定心丸：“我会避免拍宫廷戏，除非是‘步步惊心 2！”
Speaking about his experience turning towards North, Kevin says "When I work in Hong Kong, I will stay in my own house but when I work in China, I will stay in the hotel. Not much of a difference." He added, "I have worked in TVB for many years. The people I work with are just that few but Mainland China has a lot of very good actors so the feeling of working together with a new person each time is very fresh." Kevin does not want to want to limit himself to a particular category, "I will look at the script and category, will try to avoid repetitive character and script." But Kevin also assured his fans "I will avoid court themed period dramas unless it is Scarlet Heart 2!"
