Ghetto Justice pushed Kevin Cheng's popularity upwards and even secured him 3 Best Male Actor awards last year eventually becoming the highest paid Hong Kong actor in Mainland China.
With the sequel airing next Monday (30 July 2012), everybody is sitting on the edge of the chair to see how well will the sequel fare. But in order to maintain the popularity, both TVB and Kevin cannot afford to lose this battle.
In this sequel, viewers can expect little actions thought out by Kevin himself and included to make the scenes more interesting. Viewers will expect to see a lot of kissing scenes during the first 5 episodes. Kevin even added a gesture of hitting Myolie's butt in one of the scenes and going shirtless!
Kevin revealed that "The cheap plot of hitting Myolie's ass to make the whole scene more natural and real was thought up by me. She is my girlfriend, I am Law Ba so she is known as Law Yao (ass in cantonese) so I added for a laugh"
Kevin admits he has high expectations on this sequel but worries how the Olympics will affect its ratings.
When asked about the continuous kissing scenes, both Kevin and Myolie claims that since they are in a relationship in this sequel, such scenes are expected and reasonable. Myolie says "It was a little scary when we shot the first kissing scene but after awhile, it was easy because we developed a very high degree of mutual understanding. Felt like a newly married couple. He is my brother!"
Asked if Myolie is worried that Bosco Wong (her boyfriend for real) might get jealous? "No he won't - he knows we are only filming. Instead I'm worried that Kevin's fans might get jealous!"
Will Myolie and Kevin be appearing more often in future as a couple and potray themselves as TVB's on-screen couple? Myolie says she prefers to be able to couple with more actors, not just one.
