鄭嘉穎前晚出席IFPI香港唱片銷量大獎，憑專輯《說來話長》奪得「十大銷量國語唱片」。今年5月將回巢拍攝無新劇《天眼》，有指他為此推掉兩部大陸劇，損失2000萬元人民幣？鄭嘉穎未有正面回答，只說傳媒經常將焦點放在錢銀上。他表示之前不斷拍攝內地劇，由於當中有不少動作場面致周身傷，至今仍未完全康復，所以今年留港拍攝《天眼》，正好給自己一個休息機會。提到《天眼》也有不少動作場面，鄭嘉穎希望劇組能將這些戲分排到最後，好讓他能有更多時間復元。
Kevin Cheng attended IFPI Hong Kong album sales awards on 01 March 2014. His EP "Long Story" took back the Top 10 Mandarin album sales award. He will be back in TVB this may to shoot 《天眼》. There were reports claiming that he had to decline 2 offers in Mainland China putting him RMB20million poorer. Kevin did not refute this claim outwardly but said that the media always focus on his wages. This TVB drama offer came at the right time - he has sustained numerous injuries due to the many fight scenes in his Mainland dramas. By taking up TVB's drama, he is able to stay put in Hong Kong and focus on recuperating. In this new drama, Kevin will play a cop alongside Ruco Chan. It seems that 《天眼》 involves quite some action scenes as well. To this, Kevin hopes that the film crew is able to arrange these scense to be shot last allowing him more time to recover from old injuries.
